The 2015 growing season was an outstanding growing year for Merlot in the Okanagan. The hottest summer on record finished with a cool September contributed to soft tannins and very ripe fruit flavours which we expect to continue to develop in the bottle.
These Merlot grapes were grown at the picturesque Trout Creek Vineyards in Summerland. Once pressed, the wine rested in oak barrels for 12 months. This richly coloured wine has elegant aromas of black cherries, plums and chocolate. An opulent palate with warm spices leads to a smooth white pepper finish.
Enjoy with rack of lamb, brisket, and dark chocolate lava cake.
